On Wednesday We Blog About Books

Books are typically blogged about on Wednesday. I am not sure if it is an unwritten rule, I am just going with the flow of it. I follow Taking On A World of Words and enjoyed her WWW Wednesday post. I plan on participating as well.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

This should be fun!

What are you currently reading? – I am focusing on just one book at a time. I feel emotionally drained after reading Grimms’ Fairy Tales by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. Currently I am reading, The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury. I have had this book for years and finally I am getting around to read it. I like Science Fiction so this book is right up my alley. I also like Ray Bradbury as an author and I plan to read more of his books.

What did you recently finish reading? – The last book I finished reading was Grimms’ Fairy Tales by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. As I’ve mentioned, it left me emotionally drained. I gave the book 2 stars on Goodreads. Check out my review on the book. I recently also read a short story The Problem of Susan by Neil Gaiman. The short piece was good to me but granted I never read the Chronicles Of Narnia series. You can actually read the short story online.

What do you think you’ll read next?  I am actually torn on what I want to read. It is either between The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis and Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I want to read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe because I’ve heard nothing but positive things from the series, but I am concerned that it may be geared towards a younger audience. I was given the first three Outlander books by my boyfriend’s mother and she did nothing but praise the book. The only reason why I am on the fence about reading Outlander is because based on the synopsis I am already assuming that this is a romance series.

    1. I didn’t like them too much, I don’t think the series was intended for children lol I think the series would have scared me as a child.

I like reading books that I have already read at different points in my life. So if you have the time check it out, project Gutenberg has it online for free.
