Doctor Visit by Kori | Written 6/8/17

My body is a trash bin,
shoveling garbage in my mouth.
The big change,
will come with bad news.

Once upon a time,
I was on the right chart.
Now I only see a doctor,
when I cough blood.

Don’t check up on me,
I don’t seek your truths.
All it takes,
is bad news.

The weekend is almost here! Check out these two poems worth reading: Pity the Nation & Cotton
