Daily Poem – [139/365]

Drags by Kori | Written 6/5/17

She left her yellow stains on the ceiling.
2 am anxiety filled thoughts started it,
becoming a ritual.
The menthol kept her brain from buzzing.
She couldn’t unload her problems on the breadwinner.
40 metaphors a day for the last 15 years.
A tobaccos companies wet dream.

She left her yellow stains on the ceiling.
It started to turn brown.
He painted over them.
