Another Late Poem – [50/365]

Family Love by Kori | Written 2/20/2017

The traditional married life isn’t for me,

kids running around and mountain of debt

doesn’t turn the corner of my mouth upwards.

Your self worth isn’t how many kids you pushed out,

or who has been together longer.

We accept rapists and wife beaters with open arms,

yet turn our backs on those who are gay.

It’s no secret and I’ll share with anyone.

You cannot live your life to the fullest,

while casting judgments on others.
