[24/365]

Almost A Week by Kori | Written 1/24/17

I stare at the slide show in awe,

no picture of him existed before 1952,

before he married his love.

I don’t know much about his past.

I know he came from wealth,

but chose love over money.

Though I commend his truths,

I don’t think I would be able to do the same.

I’ve never met such a powerful person,

that unintentionally contributes to devastation.

The sun disappeared with you,

the colors of the rainbow were also gone.

Our lives are now in shambles.

Tears wept leaving behind emptiness.

The glue of our family is gone,

things won’t be the same.
