Over by Kori | Written 1/14 – 1/16

How could I adore another?

I made the foolish mistake,

of leaving my love for you,

at the foot of your bed.

I painted our future together.

Secret lovers till financially stable.

Trips overseas.

Expanding our family tree.

Being on opposite ends of the spectrum sucks,

meeting in the middle was always my dream.

This is the last time I write about you.

Keeping an old memory alive in my heart,

is not good for my soul.

I fell for an intellectual thrill seeker

but this stuck up succubus is all that’s left.

I need to stop obsessing.

You stopped caring for me years ago.
